A Madera native, Travis Sheridan has served as the Public Relations Director at ASTONE, where he managed staff in Fresno, San Diego and Sacramento. Dr. Sung-Mo (Steve) Kang has been Chancellor and Professor of Engineering at UC Merced since March 2007. He serves on the UC President's Science and Innovation Board, Central Valley Higher Education Consortium Board, MentorNet Advisory Board, and as chairman of the Board of the Great Valley Center.  From Jan. 2001 to Feb. 2007, he was Dean of Baskin School of Engineering and Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of California at Santa Cruz. He initiated several interdisciplinary programs such as the Department of Biomolecular Engineering, Information Systems and Technology Management program, NSF Engineering Research Center for Biomimetic Microelectronic Systems, and collaborated with partner campuses for California Institute for Quantitative Biomedical Research.

Suzanne Bertz-Rosa is a Valley-native and boomerang. Suzanne is the founder of MindHub, a listserv for local creative professionals and a current Creative Fresno board chair. Suzanne's recent documentary short, "Finding Home," explores why people who leave the Valley decide to return. Currently, Suzanne is on retainer for the California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley and working on other community-based projects.
